Keeping Your Body Cool but Your Feet Warm

Posted on May 7, 2013

fanThere is nothing more important than being comfortable while inside of your home. You want the peace and serenity that you deserve in a place that truly feels like you, and the rest of your family, belong. One of the biggest ways to keep yourself comfortable while inside of your home is to keep your body cool but your feet warm.

Whether it is winter, summer, spring or fall, keeping your body cool will help you feel relieved and wonderful. You will feel more relaxed and will have much more energy.

How to Keep Cool During the Hot Summer Season

The best way to stay cool is with the A/C running high, but this doesn’t allow any fresh air to come into your home. On those days that it is pleasant, consider opening the doors to your home and enjoying the cool breeze. You can also take yourself outdoors and enjoy a glass of iced tea on the porch.

Drink Plenty of Cold Water

Drink plenty of ice-cold water and make sure that you are always well-hydrated. When your body is hydrated it is not working overtime to try to keep you cool. For this reason it is important to avoid sugary and sweet drinks and opt for a glass of H20 any time that you can. It is just that good for you!

How to Keep Your Feet Warm

Now, keeping your feet warm while doing all this is easy. So many people will feel totally cold if their feet are not with something on them. So, with this being said, always wear socks. Socks protect the feet and keep them warm without causing any type of discomfort to the rest of your body.

Another tip to keep your feet warm is to use warmers. These cheap warmers can be purchased for just a few bucks. They are fashionable and really do a lot to keep you warm. Consider wearing them.

Did you know that lotion can also do the trick? While you may think that lotion will cool the feet it actually does the opposite. Once you have applied lotion to your feet it will help the blood circulation flow properly so that your feet will be warmer.

A Carpet can Easily Keep Your Feet Warm

One of the best things that you can do to keep your feet warm is to add carpet throughout your home. Carpet works wonderfully to keep the feet warm while also keeping you comfortable. Despite what some people think carpet will not make the house hotter or make your body temperature rise.

There are many different styles, colors and designs of carpeting that you can place inside of your home. This ensures that everyone’s tastes will be met. There are even carpets that are environmentally-friendly, known as green carpet!

Some people think that a carpet is expensive but it is really not. You can find different brands and styles of carpet so that it is very affordable to most any budget. The padding that is placed underneath the padding is also relatively inexpensive as well. Compare all of your options and you will be able to find carpet that rocks!
